Man Sentenced 21 Years For Shooting Of BET's DJ Megatron

One of the men charged with shooting and killing BET personality, DJ Megatron, in 2011 has been sentenced to 21 years in prison.

In 2012, radio and TV personality, DJ Megatron was shot down and killed in New York on his way to apparently buy some weed. Two men were charged in the shooting, and one of them last pled guilty and faces 21 years in prison.

The 32 year old Megatron, real name Corey McGriff worked on BET’s 106 & Park, and was a New York City radio DJ.  In March of 2011 in Staten Island, he was shot in the chest and fatally wounded. Associated Press reports a 22 year old man charged in the shooting, William Williams, entered a plea and was sentenced to 21 years in prison being charged with first-degree manslaughter. 

Another man is charged in the murder. Richard Cromwell is pleading not guilty, and he is due in court on February 27th
