As far as "cloud rap" goes, Main Attrakionz were easily on of the first acts adding a strong dose of atmosphere and texture to their production, and often the best doing it. They were one of the first people to work with Clams Casino, and Squadda B's own productions were often just as impressive as the seminal producer's, who would later go on to work with A$AP Rocky.
While Squadda B's I Smoke Because I Don't Care About Death is this writer's personal favorite project from the duo, the 808s & Dark Grapes series cemented the Main Attrakionz sound, and inspired many. Their new record, "G.O. Style" has adjusted to the harder sounds that dominate rap today, but still holds that twinkling quality. It will appear on the upcoming 808s & Dark Grapes 3 project.
