Magic returns after month-long yacht vacation.
The Los Angeles Lakers' president of basketball operations, better known as Magic Johnson, just wrapped up a month-long European excursion aboard a massive yacht, which reportedly costs $700,000 PER WEEK.
According to TMZ, the Lakers legend flew his family and friends out to the Amalfi Coast via private jet on July 31st and then boarded the super-yacht called the Siren, which cost him roughly $3 million. Of course, the $3 million vacation is just a drop in the bucket for Magic, who is worth a reported $600 million.
The Siren yacht is reportedly 73 meters long and features every amenity a person could ask for including a movie theater, gym, dining room, hot tub, helicopter pad, an elevator and access to WiFi. In addition to taking his family and friends on a month long European vacation, Magic also gifted the crew members aboard the yacht customized Lakers jerseys.
While Magic was away celebrating his 58th birthday, the Indiana Pacers filed tampering charges with the NBA against the Los Angeles Lakers, stemming from the possibility of impermissible contact between Magic Johnson and former Pacrers' All-Star Paul George. As of now, it is unclear whether any evidence exists that could incriminate Magic or the Lakers but there are multiple penalties that the team could face.
The Lakers released the following statement, per ESPN,
"As the NBA's statement made clear, we cannot comment about the specifics of any ongoing investigation," the Lakers said in a statement. "We can confirm, however, that we are cooperating fully with the NBA in the hope of clearing our name as soon as possible."
