FKi 1st's new project, Good Gas, has a fairly simple premise. The producer is looking to drop "the most fire songs" every "three to four months," according to our recent interview. Of the first collection, the 2 Chainz and A$AP Ferg collaboration "How I Feel" is the most star-studded, but it's the title track with rising rappers MadeInTYO and UnoTheActivist that may stand as the strongest contribution. As he's demonstrated in his work with Post Malone, including the newly released "Psycho," FKi has pop ambitions, but he's looking to do things a little differently than those currently occupying the lane, who the producer states plainly "don't even have sauce." From the steel drum sounds in the beat, to the lively, unpredictable vocals from TYO and Uno, there's no shortage of sauce here, and no shortage of pop-ready hooks either. 2018 is looking like FKi's year.
