As you are probably aware by now, much to the dismay of the rap community, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis took home Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song at the Grammys awards last night. This isn't exactly surprising, despite Macklemore himself (among others) asserting that Best Rap Album should go to Kendrick Lamar.
After winning four awards at the Grammys last night, Macklemore hit up his TDE friend and shared his true feelings about the night. The Seattle native posted a screen shot of his text message to K.Dot, where he declares that the good kid, m.A.A.d city rapper got robbed at the award show.
"You got robbed," Macklemore says in the text. "I wanted you to win. You should have. It's weird and sucks that I robbed you. I was gonna say that during the speech. Then the music started playing during the speech and I froze." Macklemore went on to congratulate his friend.
