Macklemore and Ryan Lewis had an impressive debut with their joint album The Heist, and now the lead single off the LP has proven once again for the duo that doing it independently was the right move.

"Thrift Shop" has topped the Billboard Hot 100, grabbing the #1 spot. This follows the single going platinum the other week. Congrats are definitely in order, as this is the first hip-hop single to reach #1 since Flo Rida's poppy "Whistle" track.
