Machine Gun Kelly surprised Hip Hop fans with his response to Eminem's Kamikaze, in which he dissed the Ohio native amongst a whole slew of other rappers. Many parts of the community insist on the fact that Eminem is likely the last person anyone wants to beef with.
The "Rap Devil" rapper came through to clarify his stance on his latest release. He tweeted a short explanation of why he thought it was important for him to post up against his former idol. He slightly compares their grind while doing so.
"im standing up for not just myself, but my generation. im doing the same shit you did back in ur day. life is still real on my side, and i had to take time from the grind to defend myself from someone i called an idol. love, Rap Devil."

While some fans responded to the tweet with support, a lot of MGK's following still expressed concern and warned him about the repercussions that might await him. One social media user pointed to Ja Rule as an example.
"You're crazy mentioning his daughter and ex wife... Ja rule was the last person who mentioned them on a diss and look what happened..."
