Mac Miller's Watching Movies With The Sound Off was a crowning achievement for the young rapper. Gone were the carefree days of Macadelic and Blue Slide ParkMac's acclaimed 2013 album was a dark, hazy, and introspective voyage through an increasingly troubled mind. While the project emerged during a time where Mac's substance abuse was proving detrimental to his health, his creativity throughout the record was truly remarkable.

The somewhat titular track emerged as an obvious highlight, with a haunting, frantic beat from Mac's Larry Fisherman persona and Sap. "Watching Movies" features Mac at his ignorant best, spitting obnoxiously braggadocious bars with an undeniable swagger.

The video features a striking mix of scantily clad, twerking models and a horror-film atmosphere; a strangely appealing juxtaposition. The rampant sexuality and hedonistic lifestyle is a far cry from the hopeless romantic of The Divine Feminine, but "Watching Movies" captures Mac Miller on the cusp of his creative peak. His run of Watching Movies With The Sound Off, Faces, & GOOD AM is legendary.

Quotable Lyrics

People worship these idols, 'til they come in contact with Gods
Hoes is all my disciples, you get mind fucked with these broads
Life is just a recital, better remember all that you practice
When I die, throw a couple bad bitches in my casket, whoa
Fuck a day job, fuck a day job, got ya bitch here in just a tank top
Getting paid, roll my face off, bitch you're bank fraud, Bernie Madoff
Educate y'all then erase y'all, LL Cool J without the Kangol
I don't see the need to stunt, wish you the best, I'mma just light up this blunt
