Lupe Fiasco had previously announced that his "sequel to the sequel" album Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Part 2, was cancelled, but he had yet to reveal the new title of his upcoming project. Today Lupe took to twitter to announce that his new album would be called Tetsuo & Youth, only to delete the tweet shortly after.

Tetsuo is a reference to a popular character in Japanese anime and manga. Perhaps Lupe felt he had finally out-nerded himself and abandoned the concept? All joking aside, the project is still due out sometime in 2013. We'll just have to wait and see if the title sticks.

Though convinced he won't win, Lupe is in the running for best rap album tonight, facing off against Nas, Kanye, Jay-Z, The Roots, Drake, and 2 Chainz.
