Just last week word got out that Nike, Adidas and Under Armour had no interest in signing projected Top-3 NBA Draft pick Lonzo Ball to an endorsement deal, after his father LaVar insisted that they license his Big Baller Brand as part of any deal.
During the meetings, LaVar reportedly had a prototype of what Lonzo's first signature Big Baller Brand sneaker would look like, which he hopes will sell in the $200 range.
That sneaker has not yet been unveiled but according to ESPN's Darren Rovell, the wait is almost over. Lonzo is expected to unveil the Big Baller Brand signature shoe today.
Twitter has already had a field day imagining the possibilities but for now, we wait.
That was fast. Hearing that Lonzo Ball is unveiling his own signature shoe later this afternoon. Stay tuned.— Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell) May 4, 2017
