Lonzo Ball's youngest brother LaMelo became the first high school basketball player to launch his own signature sneaker yesterday, when he debuted the Big Baller Brand Melo Ball 1. The kicks, which retail for $395 ($100 less than Lonzo's ZO2 Prime), technically won't ship out until December 23rd but the fact that a high school junior already has his own signature shoe in production is unprecedented.

As is the case with almost everything in the Ball family, LaVar and his sons went all out with the debut of the BBB Melo Ball 1, including a video spot which featured LaMelo eating cherries poolside, hitting trick shots and peeling off in his Lamborghini. Lonzo provided the lyrics for the vid, which includes,

"Melo Dip in the Lamb dippin', got his own shoe cuz it's only fittin'

Big Baller Brand yea we do it different, this was all part of Big Baller's vision

He the youngest to do it, I'm rappin' he hoopin', I'm passin' he shootin', the game we polluted we reppin' the movement, we not with the losin' we ready for war"

Kevin Durant, for one, was a fan of the way LaMelo, Lonzo and the Big Baller Brand rolled out the Melo Ball 1.

This isn't the first time we've heard Lonzo showcase his rap skills, he previously laid down a verse over Drake's "Free Smoke." The Lakers' 19-year old rookie point guard has also raised some eyebrows due to his opinions on hip-hop, specifically his recent comments that "nobody listens to Nas" and that "real hip-hop is Migos, Future.” Lonzo received plenty of criticism for his personal list of the Top-5 rappers of all time, which included Future, DMX, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne and Tupac.
