Hyped rookie Lonzo Ball was out of the Lakers lineup for the past six game with a shoulder injury, but return to the court Friday night at home against the Charlotte Hornets. While his numbers weren’t all too impressive and the Lakers ended up losing their 9th straight game, the rookie PG did make the highlight reel with a pretty smooth crossover and slam.

About half way through the first quarter, Lonzo froze and blew by Hornets guard Kemba Walker with a stutter step crossover, before going down the middle of the lane to thrown down an effortless, one-handed dunk with authority. After the slam, Ball showed some raw emotion and screamed into the crowd, something he doesn't often do.

Ball would go onto the finish the game with only 11 points on eight shots, while Brandon Ingram led the Lakers with 22 points and a career-high 14 rebounds in a losing effort. Up next, The Lakers will continue their five-game homestand Sunday when the Atlanta Hawks come into town.

Until then, check out Lonzo’s highlight crossover & slam dunk (below) and sound off in the comments. Do you think Lonzo is going to live up to the hype or nah?
