Ever since LeBron James and Rajon Rondo went down with injuries, the Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling to string some consecutive wins together. The team has lost their playoff spot and are currently relying on their young players to make plays and provide leadership night in and night out. One of those players is point guard Lonzo Ball, who spoke about his newfound responsibilities with the purple and gold.

"It's just a big void to fill," Ball said according to ESPN. "LeBron and Rondo are arguably two of the best leaders ever. Having both of them out, that's two of our main guys who are talking on the court. It's new for me. It's new for B.I. [Brandon Ingram]. Kuz [Kyle Kuzma] probably talks the most out of all of us."

Since James went down with a groin injury, the Lakers have gone 3-7. This is in stark contrast to how the team was playing before, as the Lakers blew out the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day.

"We want to win," Ball added. "It's kind of our team right now. The team's looking to us to make things happen, and we are not doing that. We just go to do better."

The Lakers are now ninth place in the Western Conference with a record of 23-21. They will look to bounce back tonight against the Chicago Bulls at home.
