Rapper Logic will have his name penned in hip hop history as the first-ever MC to author a New York Times bestseller. Reports state that his recent release, Supermarket, has debuted at #1 on the Paperback Fiction list. Since it's release on March 26, the novel has been ranked as the #1 seller on Amazon and for Barnes & Noble.

The novel has been described as "a fresh, funny, and deliciously dark thriller" that shows "Logic’s flair for cinematic storytelling."

Flynn is stuck—depressed, recently dumped, and living at his mom’s house. The supermarket was supposed to change all that. An ordinary job and a steady check. Work isn’t work when it’s saving you from yourself. But things aren’t quite as they seem in these aisles. Arriving to work one day to a crime scene, Flynn’s world collapses as the secrets of his tortured mind are revealed. And Flynn doesn’t want to go looking for answers at the supermarket. Because something there seems to be looking for him.

That's not all he has to celebrate. The morning of Supermarket's release Logic also dropped the surprise accompanying soundtrack of the same name. The record climbed Billboard's Alternative Album chart reaching the #6 spot in its first week. The melodic soundtrack is a genre shift for the rapper who now, for the first time, has an album recognized on an "Alt" chart.

Logic's highly-anticipated Confessions of a Dangerous Mind is slated for a release date sometime in 2019 and fans are expecting it sooner than later, especially because he's already released the title track from the album. The single has already racked up almost 20 million streams and 10 million views of the music video. Congrats to Logic!
