Chicago drill pioneer Lil Reese has shared his new project GetBackGang. The 10-track effort features guest appearances from Detroit's Tee Grizzley, as well as close collaborator Fredo Santana, who passed away from an overdose last year. It follows Reese's collaborative tape with Lil Durk, Supa Vultures, released last August. Like Durk, Reese has continued to develop his style, always keeping a piece of the confrontational music he broke through with in 2012 while exploring other moods and sounds. "Get Back" is a warm, nimble record that shows he's continued to improve as a writer and performer. He's also expanded his palette of flows, entering many tracks with unique rhythms you won't necessarily find anywhere else.
