"Wait," has a spacy, light-on-its-feet feel, but never loses you attention with a sticky hook from Top Dawg Twin. It takes a minute to build to SMOOTHIE's verse, which presents him as an emcee with traditional skills who also knows his way around a melody: a promising combination.
