As Bill Cosby is on his way to court next month for sexually assaulting Andrea Constand, Lisa Bonet speaks out on her time around him. Bonet starred with Bill on The Cosby Show. While she didn't know of his actions at the time, she says she knew something was amiss with the comedian.
“There was just energy. And that type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed," Bonet said of Cosby. The two had previously clashed when Cosby opposed to her appearance in the movie Angel Heart, where the actress had a nude scene. When asked if she had known what was going on behind-the-scenes, Bonet replied "If I had anything more to reveal then it would have happened a long time ago. That’s my nature. The truth will set you free.”
As the sexual assault allegations were unraveling, Bonet kept quiet. People believed she could have contributed to the case. However her daughter Zoe Kravitz set the record straight. “She’d plead the fifth, even to me. I think she’s just staying out of it. She’s just as disgusted and concerned as everyone else is, but I don’t think she has any insight. It’s news to her as well.” The news came as a shock to many, but hopefully more evidence is uncovered as Cosby returns to court in April.
