Lily Allen has gone through a lot after giving birth. The artist spiraled out of control for a while, but she's back on her grind. Allen is doing a press run in promotion of her upcoming album, which is appropriately named No Shame. In the process, the ''Smile" singer is opening up about her struggles and past brazen behavior.
The pop star penned a book that details some of her rough times, including her short affair with Liam Gallagher. The pair joined the mile high club together.
"We got hammered on the plane. At some point, Liam and I found ourselves together in the toilet doing something that he shouldn’t have been doing, and it wasn’t drugs. Then we were in a lie-down bed together."
"When we landed in Tokyo, Liam said, in his distinctive nasal twang, 'What you doing now? Why don’t you come back to our hotel'. . . I was like, 'Yeah, OK'."
She specifies that she only became aware of his being married when Gallagher swore her to secrecy, which she clearly ignored at this point.
Her book also explores her experiences of seeking refuge in the arms of prostitutes.
"Sooo, in my book My Thoughts Exactly (out on 20th Sept) I detail some stuff from my dark days, around the 'Sheezus' era. I slept with female escorts when I was on tour, cause I was lost and lonely and looking for something. I’m not proud, but I’m not ashamed. I don’t do it anymore. The Mail are gonna run with the story tomorrow cause someone leaked it, and they’re bound to make sound worse than it was. Just wanted to give you the 'heads up'."
Her boisterousness even prompted Chris Martin to intervene. The Coldplay star became concerned after Lily fell unconscious and accidentally headbutted Orlando Bloom at a Halloween party hosted by Kate Hudson.
"I just went over to Gwyneth’s house in Malibu for lunch. And they’ve got this amazing garden that goes from the top of the cliff down to the sea. Chris was so full of energy, he grabbed me and was like, 'Come on! I want to take you for a walk.' I was like, 'OK.' He’s very sweet for taking the time."
