Lil Yachty Says He Was Told To Lie About The Controversial Cello Lyric

Apparently, it wasn't his idea.

Lil Yachty's rollout of Teenage Emotions, his new album, has definitely been eventful.

After stirring up controvery by implying you could blow into a cello on his track "Peek-A-Boo," Yachty insists he's not to blame. In a recent stop at Hot 97 on Ebro in the Morning, the cello line was brought up and it was revealed that, allegedly, "people said to [Yachty], 'you could just say a cello was a nickname for a dick.'"

Now, Yachty is saying that his A&R team told him to say that but he thought it made more sense "to just tell the truth." He also admitted that it was "[...] the wrong thing to do." This expanded into a long back-and-forth aboutconfusing lyrics in hip-hop, as well as his recent visit on Everyday Struggle and butting heads with Joe Budden
