Earlier this month, Lil Xan checked himself into rehab after previewing the decision back in November.
It was his girlfriend Annie who confirmed the young rapper’s decision to get clean after a vacillating battle with addiction: “I'm so beyond proud of this precious boy for being the strongest person I know and for wanting to live a better life. Please keep him in your prayers. He is doing his best right now to find peace with himself,” she wrote.
Now, two weeks later after his initial entrance into the rehabilitation program, Xan reveals that he is officially “out and sober,” taking to Twitter early Sunday morning to announce the good news.
When he first reveled his plans to get help, he admitted to TMZ that he was dealing with abuse of controlled substances such as hydrocodone. “Basically a lot of opioids.” He told the outlet. “I've been way worse in the past. I've actually been 10 times worse than what I've been now. I want to do rehab just so I can get over this last hump or stretch so I can finally be just back to Diego. “
Previously, Xan said that the would officially change his stage name to his birth name Diego upon his exit from rehab.
