Rapper Lil Xan, real name Diego Leanos, has recently opened up about his issues with substance abuse. Speaking to TMZ, the rapper revealed that the deaths of his idols, Mac Miller and Lil Peep had a profound impact on how he viewed his destructive habit and prompted him to seek help. "Rest in peace to Lil Peep, one year anniversary um... that is when it really started when Lil Peep passed," he told TMZ. "He was one of, like, my favorite artists and it was devastating when he died. It seems like all of it is just like fentanyl, fentanyl, fentanyl." He went on to speak about the passing of XXXtentacion, and then about Mac Miller's untimely death commenting that it struck him the most. "The worst one that affected me the most: Mac Miller. It hit too close home."

Xan's girlfriend Annie took to Instagram to announce Xan's decision to check himself into rehab earlier today with an endearing message for the musician's fans. "Diego was just admitted into his first treatment. He loves each and every one of you sending good wishes and prayers to him. We thank you all so very much for all of the love and support you are sending his way."
