Lil Wayne has stated that Tha Carter V will be his final solo album, but fans have been split on whether to believe his claim. The Young Money leader made similar promises before Tha Carter IV was released, yet he's continued to release music since.

In a new interview with MTV, Weezy was clear that his claims are to be taken seriously-- unless of course, there's some money on the table.

"25 to 35 million would get me to do another solo album after this," he said, adding with sincerity, "I didn't smile when I said that."

While there are offers that Tunechi can not refuse, his plan is still to finish his solo career with C5. "I personally plan on this being my final solo album," he said. "It's definitely the final Carter album."

Wayne then clarified that he would still contribute to Cash Money releases when he was needed, saying he may "pitch in for a Young Money album, Like Father, Like Son album or something like that."

Wayne stressed that he will be putting every ounce of effort into his final project. "The way I'm working for this album. It seems like it would be impossible for me to work this hard again for anything else."
