In promotion with his recently released Carter V album, Lil Wayne made his way by the CBS studios on Wednesday and served as a musical guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert where he performed his standout song “Don’t Cry,” which he dedicated to the song’s late feature, XXXTentacion.

Backed by some red flashing lights & a silhouette of X’s face on the projector screen behind him, Tunechi went on to perform the hit record while rockin’ a big fur coat, before ending his performance with some words for X. "Triple extension on my motherfuckin' afterlife/Rest in paradise," he spit with a red and black sign in the background that reads "R.I.P XXXTentacion.”

The performance comes just a few days after Wayne announced that he will appear on the soundtrack to Marvel's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which will also feature Ty Dolla $ign and XXX.

Watch Tunechi pay homage to XXXTentacion with last night’s performance (below). Tha Carter V available now on iTunes.
