The lawsuit dealing with the 2015 shooting of Lil Wayne's tour bus has been interrupted by a Georgia judge. The legal authority decided to halt the proceedings following the release of what is believed to be a jail phone call involving Birdman.

Lil Wayne's tour bus driver, Alvin Lewis, filed a lawsuit concerning the shooting in 2016. The defendants include Young Thug, Birdman, rapper Peewee Roscoe, Cash Money Records, and Young Money Records. Lewis, who is seeking compensation for unspecified damages, was on duty the night of the shooting, which is said to have been prompted by an altercation between Wayne, Roscoe and their respective crews.

Roscoe AKA Jimmy Winfrey is currently serving time for the shooting, having been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The phone call that has allegedly halted the legal proceedings is believed to include the voices of Birdman and Roscoe, from behind bars, following the shooting. Lewis believes the recording is evidence of collusion between Birdman and Roscoe, along with Thug and the other defendants. From this perspective, the shooting was a conspiracy.

In the audio, Lewis believes Birdman says to Roscoe, "Time for you to come out here and get your money. You did everything you could do, boss."

Charges against Yung Thug and Birdman concerning the shooting have yet to be filed.
