One of the biggest crazes this year has been rap's fascination with Three 6 Mafia's 2000 cut "Who Run It," with G Herbo arguably dropping his most popular song via a freestyle over the beat. After he did his thing over the instrumental during a radio interview, Drake personally hit up the Chicago rapper through his Instagram DM's and asked him to formally record the track. The same day, Herb dropped a legitimate version of the song, which has given him a fast track to a successful career. The aftermath of the song's release has been astonishing, with everybody from 21 Savage to Trippie Redd & Lil Yachty, to Juicy J himself making their own versions.
Perhaps the most intriguing of the remakes has been Lil Uzi Vert's which was previewed at the end of March. A snippet of Uzi's verse on the remix surfaced, leading many to believe that the newer cut could be even better than the OG remix. There is no longer a need to wait as Uzi's remix has been released and we can finally judge to see which takes the crown. Going as hard as we can remember in the teasers, Uzi absolutely snaps on his verse, meshing well with G Herbo and bringing a new element to a song that was already great.
