The last few months have not been pleasant for Lil Uzi Vert or his fans. We've been waiting a year and a half for a new project from the Philadelphia rapper but label issues have halted his progress in the game. For some reason, his team is preventing the release of Eternal Atake, leading him to consider leaking it online. Today, Nav came out of retirement and encouraged Uzi to do the same. Instead of dropping new music though, the "XO Tour Lif3" artist exhibited some pretty bizarre behavior, cutting off his dreads in a video posted to Instagram.

At the end of last month, a photo of Lil Uzi Vert wearing a different hairstyle started to circulate but it was explained later that his dreads were simply hidden. Today, all of that same worry was brought back to fans after Uzi showed a much clearer sign that it's time to say goodbye to his hair. This time, he didn't just hide his dreads. He took a pair of scissors and cut them off on video, readying fans for a fresh look.
With all that's going on with Uzi and his label, we can't help but draw comparisons to Britney Spears' classic head-shaving breakdown in 2007. This may be a good thing though. Perhaps Uzi is getting ready to rebrand himself and re-enter the rap game under a different persona?
