A lot of attention has been brought to Lil Peep's name since his sudden death, where he was found unconscious on his tour bus right before he was set to perform. As many now know, Peep passed away due to his consumption of Xanax pills that police suspect was laced with the substance fentanyl.
His passing sparked a huge conversation in the hip-hop community on the glamorization of popping pills that encouraged Lil Uzi Vert to give sobriety a chance. Wiz Khalifa said Peep's death should show the negative side effects of doing such drugs, "It's unfortunate that Lil Peep had to die and stuff like that, but these are the things people are gonna start seeing and keep happening if they don't really relax and fall back. I just want to be the responsible person and say something.”
Post Malone, who only knew him for a short time, said: "his music was going to change the culture of everything."
As a way to keep Peep's name going strong, the young rapper's camp has now unveiled a memorial collection with offerings such as apparel and accessories. Fans can cop a lighter that reads "ash is our purest form," a "crybaby" t-shirt, an "angry girl" hoodie and a poster of Peep with fruit roll-ups hanging out of his mouth. All looks are available online with prices ranging from $5 to $60.
