Lil Durk has been especially active approaching the imminent release of his LilDurk2x mixtape. After dropping a collab with Thug and Dolph as well as another with Kid Ink, Durk is back with a hard-hitting solo track, "Shoot Sum," produced by Chop Squad DJ.
With a burning guitar line, police sirens, and a suspenseful mix of dark synths and creeping 808s, the production immediately conjures images of a deadly crime scene. Durk comes through with an especially powerful flow, sounding exasperated at times, which only increases the adrenaline. This is real Chicago street music.
