After taking something of a hiatus preceding 2017's Black Ken, Lil B is back to dropping regular 20+ track tapes with the release of Platinum Flame. "Billionaire" is one of 28 self-produced tracks on the double album, and keeps with the menacing West Coast throwback sound the Berkely rapper introduced on Black Ken. Using some gurgling bass sounds coupled with an arpeggiated synth that merges the Bay with the late 90s work of Mannie Fresh, "Billionaire" is a faster, dancier track than many of the dark, crawling records on the project. As a result, it's one of the most immediately satisfying, with the Based God sounding both menacing and fun-loving, sometimes at the same time.

Lil B shared some thoughts on the project after releasing it Friday. "I CRIED LISTENING TO THIS TAPE BY THE 3rd SONG IN," he wrote on Twitter. The rapper has been talking about releasing Platinum Flame since (at least) the release of 2010's Red Flame. In that way, it joins Black Ken as a long-awaited project in the rapper's catalogue now fulfilled. Listen to the full double album here.

Quotable Lyrics:
Did you drink or did you get drunk?
N***a, do I look like a fuckin' punk?
Do I look like I got junk?
All these bitches look like Taylor Swift
N***a play with me, get the whole K clip
