LGP Qua came to prominence through the uploading of his inspirational rhymes on social media, gaining widespread recognition from the likes of Nas and Snoop Dogg. The rumor mill even managed to pick up a reported Roc Nation deal being offered to the young emcee at one point off the strength of these videos, but anything substantial has yet to materialize from that one.
Nonetheless, Qua’s been creating a buzz for all the right reasons and has now officially arrived with his debut “Insomnoac” single, assisted and produced by will.i.am. On the track, LGP Qua is flipping the term “insomniac,” associated with someone who has trouble sleeping, and attaching the same meaning on a much more cerebral level with the new clip’s opening scene displaying a definition that pegs an insomniac as someone who is “actively aware of systemic injustices and prejudices.”
Currently, LGP Qua is working on his forthcoming Voice Of The Youth Vol. 1 mixtape.
