Leon Bridges sophomore Good Thing album arrived at the top of the month and was host to an intersection of Bridges’ signature classic soulful sound with a slight look toward the present. Previously, Bridges gifted us with the videos for two choice cuts from the project for “Bad Bad News” and “Bet Ain’t Worth The Hand,” and now Bridges returns with the new clip for “Beyond.”
The track, which arrived ahead of the album’s release, is an ode to the fear that accompanies the realization of a powerful love as Bridges sings: “I’m scared to death that she might be it/That the love is real, that the shoe might fit/She might just be my everything and beyond.”
As most of his outings do, the new video is overlaid with nostalgia and effectively adds to the warmth of the track.
