Yesterday was supposed to be a joyous occasion for the Los Angeles Lakers. They beat the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors 127-101 and did so on Christmas Day no less. On any other day, the victory would have been triumphant and a cause for celebration. This was not the case though as LeBron James left the game early with an apparent groin injury.

According to ESPN, James will undergo an MRI today to determine the seriousness of the injury. LeBron went out in the third quarter when he slipped going for a loose ball. He went to the bench and tried to stretch it off but after a few minutes, he was brought to the locker room for extra treatment. The Lakers superstar doesn't seem too worried about the injury.

"With me with injuries, I am never too concerned about them. I was able to walk off on my own power. I felt a pop and see if I could stretch it a few times and see if it will relieve, but it didn't."

Now with an MRI on the way, it will be determined whether or not James will be able to play on Thursday when the Lakers go to Sacramento to take on the Kings.
