The Los Angeles Lakers are going to miss the playoffs again this season and quite frankly, the fan base is fed up. This was supposed to be their year thanks to the addition of LeBron James, although chemistry issues plagued the team all season to the point where they played themselves out of the postseason. While he may not deserve all the blame, head coach Luke Walton has been heavily rumored to be on his way out of the Lakers organization. The team simply wasn't able to perform under his leadership and some believe he's halfway out the door.

Others, however, believe Walton should be given a second chance to succeed. One of those people is former NBA player Damon Stoudemire who spoke to TMZ and urged LeBron to save Walton's job.

"LeBron, go in there and fight for my man. He needs more time," Stoudemire said. "I think Luke deserves a couple more years ... Luke knows what he's doing. He knows what he's doing."

James has already stated that he feels like Walton did the best he could with the roster he was given. While it's not the biggest vote of confidence, perhaps it can work in Walton's favor when the offseason comes around.

In the meantime, it will be interesting to see where the Lakers decide to take their franchise.
