As we approach the much anticipated September 19th release date of NBA 2K18, 2K Sports continues to reveal details of the new and improved basketball video game including the epic playlist, the classic "All Time" rosters, special edition commentators, and player ratings.
The latest bit of information concerns the revamped MyCareer Mode, which will feature the always outspoken LaVar Ball. 2K Sports recently shared more screenshots of NBA 2K18 which included some of the words of encouragement, and trash talk, that you'll be receiving from LaVar as you take the journey from unproven rookie to NBA superstar.
LaVar will send text messages such as, “THIS WISDOM COMES FROM THE LIPS OF ZEUS TO MORTAL EARS” and “A ROOKIE IN NAME ONLY. HE’S BEEN BALLING AT ALL-NBA LEVEL SINCE HE WAS A SINGLE STRAND OF DNA.”
Additionally, LaVar Ball will be included in the MyCareer Mode social media feed. Check out some of the screenshots below.
NBA 2K18 also recently announced the Top-10 players at each position, revealing the highest rated players in the process. LeBron James checks in as the best overall player in the video game with a 97 rating, followed by Kevin Durant who starts out as a 96 overall. 2K Sports has James Harden and Kawhi Leonard both sitting at a 95, while Russell Westbrook, Steph Curry and Anthony Davis round out the highest rated players in 2K18, with 94 overall ratings.
Additionally, 2K18 will include the best "All-Time" rosters all 30 NBA teams, special guest commentators like Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett, and an incredible 50-track playlist that includes a who's who of hip-hop such as Mobb Deep, Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Naughty By Nature and even Damian Lillard aka Dame D.O.L.L.A.
2K Sports' NBA 2K18 will be available on September 15th for those who pre-order, and September 19th for everyone else.
