Lauryn Hill's creative talents past the composition and performance of music. The songstress has been designing and sewing some of her own fashion pieces for half a decade. The artist is now taking these skills to the next level by bringing her designs to the masses. Lauryn Hill and Woolrich have teamed up to offer an exclusive capsule collection of outerwear designed by the singer herself.
The limited edition coats feature screen-printed images, collages of cover art from Hill's discography. The capsule was born out of 30 sketches of her ideas that covered multiple facets of fashion production, including materials and logos. It includes one plaid wool number and a graphic parka as well as one adorned with intricate beading on its shoulders. Get a feel for the collection in the BTS video below.
The luxury products by Ms. Lauryn Hill x Woolrich hit the fashion brand's online store this past weekend and is also available in Woolrich physical locations. The coats' pricing is somewhat steep, ranging from $2300 to $3300. Some socially conscious fans will be happy to know that proceeds are going to benefit the MLH Foundation. The initiative supports community-focused initiatives and development worldwide. Portions of ticket sale profits from her Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill Anniversary Tour were also pledged to the foundation.
