Understandably, Lauren London has been quiet on social media. Since the time that her lover and partner Nipsey Hussle was murdered, all of London's Instagram posts have been focused on him, their relationship, or his legacy. Today, she broke from the mold to promote her new show, a BET series that she stars in titled Games People Play.

London shared a photo of herself alongside her co-stars in a promotional photo for the show while writing, "Love and Respect to the cast and crew. Tune in tonight 10pm to watch Games People Play @bet." She ended the brief message with a nod to Nipsey by adding, "Love y’all 💙🏁."

Not long before Nipsey passed away, London sat down with The Grio to talk about her new series. In Games People Play, the actress plays the part of a wife who married her high school sweetheart. In the blink of an eye, they go from a normal, happy pair to a power couple after her husband is drafted into a pro-basketball league.

“I feel no fear," she said of her role. "Usually I do, but no, not this time, Usually the roles I’ve done before like really fun and sassy and you know kind of surface roles,” she says. “This was a broken wife and a woman and I feel like I’m 34, I have kids and I have lived some life that I can put into this into a woman.” Adding, “Being a mother has changed my outlook on life and I think that naturally filters into my work."
