KXNG Crooked's ongoing series, which is set to run until the rapper simply runs out of bars (or for all eternity, whatever comes sooner), has taken a turn into educational territory. At least, to an extent, as Crook has taken it upon himself to raise awareness for some of the environmental problems plaguing the hood. Taking to a variation of Freeway's "What We Do," Crook pleads his case, rapping "give us a chance, quit building those chemical plants." He proceeds to share his list of demands, which includes fixing Flint's water at the forefront of his itinerary.
"Told me to reach for the sky but the air is polluted," laments the West Coast lyricist, before looking to the contaminated soil for sustenance. He also predicts a rising shore by 2045, which should bode unfavorably for anyone planning on investing in beachfront property. It's a scathing take in which no stone is left unturned, and few can combine attention to detail with "bar" craftsmanship quite like Crook.
