Please give us a late pass. Kweku Collins, whom we've been supportive of ever since we heard his "Start A Fire" record just over a year ago, came through this past Friday with his full-length album, a follow up to his free mixtape Say It Here, While It's Safe. Chicago-based imprint Closed Sessions released Nat Love on iTunes, but you can stream the entire effort on his Soundcloud here.
The project is largely produced by Kweku himself, with one exception from oddCouple. The project contains appearances from fellow Chi-towners, Taylor Bennett and Jamila Woods. We're choosing to highlight "Stupid Rose" though, a solo cut that features quirky production, with a seemingly underwater bass line and subdued organ keys, sprinkled with bursts of electronic noises.

If I'm a rapper then she's a bad bitch
Not that she isn't, that's just invalid
I used to try to never do this, yeah I do this
But everything I try is useless
