KOTA The Friend's highly anticipated album FOTO is dropping very soon, and as such, this newly released track "Backyard" seems fitting. The feel-good and celebratory track chronicles what sounds like a pleasant afternoon spent in the good company of friends (and perhaps a significant other), drinking, and chilling. The Brooklyn rapper's fresh bars breeze through its mellow instrumental while teasing the oncoming vibes of summertime: outdoor BBQ parties and cold lemonade.

Giving away good vibes seems to be KOTA's motto because his most recent release "Birdie" weighed in on similar vibes while also pitching onto the ins and out of a healthy relationship. We can only wonder what to expect from his upcoming album because it is all sounding very good so far. FOTO is officially scheduled to drop May 15th and will ride off of KOTA's debut album Anything, which dropped last year and was met with considerable success.

Quotable Lyrics

All she wanna do is sip mimosas on the beach, though
Yellow sundress got a brother thinkin' bad thoughts, ayy
Mommy is a ten, she like, "I don't need a man
But it's summer in New York and I could really use a friend"
