18-year-old Atlanta rapper Kodie Shane has been holding it down with Lil Yachty's Sailing Team, dropping some solid solo material in the process. Her latest mixtape, Back From The Future, she went for the no-features route, and put in a respectable and versatile effort. Her blend of rapping and singing is an interesting stylistic direction, and while the more melodically driven tracks tend to stand out as the stronger cuts, Shane can definitely spit bars when the occasion calls for it. Not only that, but Kodie has also been putting in work on the live front, coming off a thirty-two date tour with Lil Yachty and twenty-three dates with Lil Uzi Vert

Now, Kodie is set to perform at the upcoming edition of the A3C Festival, and has dropped a new single on the festival's compilation album. The project, which is actually the seventh volume of the compilation series, is set to hit stores on November 24th. However, Kodie fans can rejoice, as the young rapper has delivered her contribution earlier than expected. "Bounce Back," produced by Bradlea Roi, is appropriately bouncy, and finds Kodie spitting game about her tendency to steal women's hearts with her charm. It's a bold direction in a genre that hasn't always been the most accepting of homosexuality, but Shane doesn't seem deterred. She's intent on landing herself a sugar mama, and lets us know she's aiming high.

"I'm talkin' status, I think I need me an actress, I'm talkin' status, maybe I need a Kardashian," raps Shane, making a case to be the latest signee to "Kardashian Records." Like most of her music, "Bounce Back" finds Kodie towing the line between singing and rapping, and it might very well be one of her catchiest joints yet.

Quotable Lyrics

I'm talkin' status
I think I need me an actress,
I'm talkin' status,
Maybe I need a Kardashian
