Kodak Black makes his HNHH debut with his video for "Skrilla."
Kodak Black is a 17 year old with all-gold teeth who hails from Pompano Beach, a city of 100,000 located about 35 miles north of Miami. Today, he makes his HNHH debut with his new video for "Skrilla," a track that was included on his Heart Of The Projects tape that dropped last New Year's Eve.
His rapping recalls that of down-South heroes like Lil Boosie and Yo Gotti, albeit with the more up-to-date sensibility that you'd expect from someone his age. On "Skrilla" and other cuts (like my personal favorite, "No Flocking"), he shows a ton of promise, and as the screaming crowd at the start of this video indicates, he's already got a rabid following at home. It seems like only a matter of time before he blows up nationally.
