During her interview, Kardashian admits his relationship with president Donald Trump has been beneficial.
Although the reality television personality isn't always on board with Kanye's decision, she claims that his pro-Trump stance turned into opportunities for her.
“I am aware that Kanye speaking out in favor of Trump got me through the door — got him to pick up my call,” Kardashian said of her husband’s recent political presence in the White House as a vocal supporter of Trump. “I’ve always had different opinions than Kanye. But when I went there, and when I saw what could be done, I realized that I could get more done if I just stayed focused on the issue I was passionate about instead of complaining.”
Kim is most likely referring to her prison-reform advocacy. Her husband's connection to the nation's leader most likely facilitated her entry to White House, where she asked the president to grant clemency to Alice Johnson, a 63-year-old woman held in prison with a life sentence without parole for a first-time, nonviolent drug offense. Her request was approved a week later.
