It wasn't too long ago that Kanye West was making headlines for his "Make America Great Again" fashion choices, all while seeming to adapt a more conservative line of thinking. Remember, his admiration for Donald Trump is well documented; Kanye has stood out as one of the few entertainers to publicly praise the President, making him a true rarity insofar as Hollywood entertainers are concerned. Yet despite what public perception might have you believe, Kanye has never once weighed in any of Trump's policies, instead keeping his praise limited to Donald's personality.

Such a sentiment was echoed by West's wife, Kim Kardashian, during a chat with Jimmy Kimmel. When asked whether Ye is still riding for team Trump, Kim quickly realizes there's no point in trying to please the masses, opting for a simple "yeah!" She makes it clear that she never engages in political discourse with Yeezy, as she tends to respect other perspectives to the best of her ability; a refreshing stance, to be sure, in an era occasionally criticized for lacking nuance.

"He doesn't necessarily agree with the policies," says Kim. "He likes his, kind of, personality. How he made it to be president when everyone really underestimated him. [Kanye's] not political, so he doesn't really dig deep into what's going on. I always knew that, and always knew what he meant." Kim does clarify that she's not ready to trash the President, as, for all intents and purposes, he helped her facilitate the release of Alice Marie Johnson. As Jimmy jokes, she still has a few more names on her list.
