Atlanta rapper Killer Mike recently shared with his followers that he had undergone surgery. In an Instagram post, the musician wrote, “My good friend & Dope ass surgeon repaired my shoulder. I’m grateful that the universe put this amazing guy in my life." He went on to say, "Doc repaired @bigboi & @dwyanewade too so I knew I was gonna be good."

Mike has yet to confirm the reason behind getting but implied that an injury may have been the root of the case with his humorous hashtags: “#ImInAWorldOfPain #PercsNWeedAreLife #ThankDaAncestors4KeepingMe #ThanksDocImBackToBalling #IgottaRetireFromSlappinFuckBoys #FuckBoySlapperHallOfFame.”

News of Mike's injury comes after he was released his single "Black Power, White Powder." He was recently featured in an episode of Netlifx series, Rapture. During the episode, Nas walked into the studio while Mike was crafting together the song."I'm so humbled by that," Killer Mike told Billboard. "Nas is truly one of the greatest lyricists to ever come out of Queens, which has produced more great MCs than any other borough. He's one of the greatest MCs of my lifetime and in the world. He's also a friend. So for him to say that, I really appreciate it."

In other news, the rapper and activist recently became a board member of the High Museum of Art. You can find out more about the achievement here
