Well here’s a nice treat to kickstart the weekend. Killer Mike & El-P, aka Run The Jewels, have decided to surprise their fans tonight by dropping off their long awaited remix album called Meow The Jewels.

Started out first as a joke, which then turned into a Kickstarter campaign, the Meow The Jewels album has come full circle almost a year after its original announcement. Released via the duo’s Beats 1 Radio show “WRTJ” Friday night, Meow The Jewels contains of 12 cat-driven sound remixes of their acclaimed sophomore album, Run the Jewels 2, & features guest contributions from Just Blaze, Zola Jesus, Prince Paul, Alchemist, and more.

Available for free download right now (here), Meow The Jewels will have physical copies & vinyls made in the coming weeks, with pre-orders for them already being available here. Look for all the proceeds received from those album sales to go to charity efforts benefiting victims of police brutality.
