Kidd Upstairs is a rising rapper from The Bay, currently awaiting to drop an album with Empire. While he waits on that, he's holding fans over with another project, which we're offering a stream of right here (and you can head over to iTunes to purchase it). It's a seven-track offering. The rapper wrote the following note to his fans explaining his album delay and detailing To Crown A Child, which you can read below.
"After much discussion with my team and label, we’ve decided it’s in the best interest of KVSHMIR II to delay the release until the end of summer in order to prepare the strongest rollout possible. You guys are my everything, and it hurts to not be able to give you what you want, but I have to do what’s necessary for a project that I poured my heart and soul into. Since I promised new music in May, I will be releasing a free 8-song EP, To Crown A Child, which are all brand new songs, 7 of which I produced, all of which could be singles on their own
A lot of you ask why I haven’t blown up already, but nothing happens overnight. Months of groundwork must be laid, and me, my team, and my label are doing that to ensure KVSHMIR II is the greatest it can be. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your patience and support. Without you, I am nothing."
