After signing a deal with RCA Records, Kid Ink has been focusing on putting together his first album with his new label, and recently talked about some of the collabos he has, and is trying to get. The Cali rapper mentions an upcoming recording session with producer Pharrell. He also talks about wanting to get some of his fellow labelmates on some tracks including Alicia Keys.
Mentioning a collaboration he’s excited about, Tha Alumni artist says he will be recording with the Neptunes producer soon, “We getting in the studio with Pharrell at the end of the month, in Miami. Also Rico Love in the same session.”
Asked about who else he wants to work with, now that he’s with a major label, the rapper says it is convenient because he’s a fan of many artists with RCA, and pegs Alicia Keys as his dream collabo, “A lot of people that I wanted to collaborate with, ended up being label mates...Alicia Keys is one of em.” Saying the dream could in fact become a reality, “looks like it’s a little possible.”
