Lil Yachty is certainly having a moment right now. His buzz has hit its peak over the last few weeks, and at the same time, his productivity has been through the roof. As a result, he's been hard to ignore, and when you hear the hook he's supplied for Key!'s new record, "Treat Yaself," he may just win you over. The instrumental for the record comes courtesy of Slade Da Monsta, and like much of Yachty's work, it hovers somewhere in the SoundCloud bubblegum trap world, with Key! pulling it a bit closer to earth with his more grounded baritone, that's still shiny and bright with auto-tune.
In the end, it's not that far away from some of the R&B-influenced rap we've been hearing more and mroe of lately (see: Lil Durk and DeJ Loaf's "My Beyonce". Are y'all on board?
