Key!'s inclination towards Kenny Beats production is oh so easy to place. In May of last year, the ATL rapper/producer showed the World he was ready to raise the stakes, in demonstrating his tag-team potential with Kenny Beats. Coincidentally, Kenny Beats was also on a sabbatical during Key!'s lapse of inactivity - his travels taking him across the Globe in search of new ideas and experiences.
After turning in his boarding pass, Kenny Beats jumped at the opportunity to supply Vince Staples with a visionary soundboard - but not before stamping the ground with Key! Incidentally, Kenny Beats' final placement of the year surfaced on Ski Mask The Slump God's STOKELY project, incidentally the very place Key! went looking for inspiration.
On "KEYMASKTHEPLUMPGOD," his latest recorded freestyle, Key! strips the STOKELY to the skin and bones, and rightly so; the energy switch proves altogether beneficial to a rapper unmasked of his potential.
