The Jimmy Butler drama in Minnesota appears as though it will carry over into the regular season as the Timberwolves have quickly established themselves as the most dysfunctional team heading into the 2018-19 season.

There's a lot to unpack when you consider what has gone down in the weeks since Butler demanded a trade but T'Wolves legend Kevin Garnett has summed it up best: "It's a shit storm up there."

The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski recently caught up with KG to get his take on the messy situation in Minnesota. "I'm a T-Wolf for life, man," Garnett told Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic (H/T Bleacher Report). "I'm 'Sota for life. I've always wanted better for not only the city and the franchise, but [Andrew Wiggins], [Karl-Anthony Towns], those are my guys. I root for those guys. Gorgui Dieng. Those are my guys. I'm just hoping they can get through this rough patch and everybody can get on the same patch and figure it out. It's a s--t storm up there."

"Everything is so god damn public now,” KG added.

Following an eventful practice on Wednesday, the Timberwolves cancelled yesterday's practice as Jimmy Butler reportedly held a players-only meeting, in which he expressed to his teammates that he would compete with them and made it known that his issues are with management, according to Shams Charania. However, some members of the Timberwolves disputed the report of a players-only meeting, even though Butler himself confirmed the report to ESPN's Rachel Nichols.

As KG so eloquently put it, it's a shit storm up there.
